How do I connect the
remote control of my electric ride-on car?

An electric ride-on car with a 2.4G remote control is ideal for parents who want extra control while driving. Whether your child is still getting used to steering or you simply like to help out in busy situations, the remote control always gives you the power to take charge.

But how exactly do you connect that 2.4G remote to the ride-on car? In this blog, we explain it step by step, so you’ll be ready to drive in just a few minutes.

Step-by-step: connecting your remote control

Step 1: Insert the batteries into the remote control and check that they are correctly placed in the battery compartment. Without batteries, the remote control cannot connect to the ride-on car.

Step 2: There are 2 types of connection options. Make sure the vehicle is turned off during this step!

  1. Hold the forward & reverse button for 3 seconds until the LEDs start flashing.
  2. Hold the connection button (usually in the middle) for 3 seconds until the LEDs start flashing.

Step 3: Turn on the electric vehicle using the main switch. The LEDs on the remote control should stop flashing – connection successful!

From that moment, you can immediately use the remote control to steer, brake, and take control whenever needed.

NOTE: When pressing the "P" button, the LEDs will also flash. This does not mean the remote control is connecting; it indicates that it is in STOP mode, and the vehicle cannot be operated.

Tips for a stable connection

To ensure the connection works properly, it’s important to keep a few things in mind. Always make sure the batteries in the remote control are sufficiently charged. Weak batteries can cause connection issues or delays in operation.

It’s also wise to keep the remote control and the car close to each other while pairing. Once the connection is established, you can normally drive remotely without any problems.

If everything is paired correctly, you can immediately use the remote control to move the ride-on car forward, backward, or to stop it. This gives parents extra control and ensures a safe and fun driving experience for the child. Within minutes, everything is ready and the driving fun can begin — with you at the controls or your child behind the wheel!
