Which battery should I buy for my
electric children's car?
If you buy or already have an electric ride-on car, one of the most important components is the battery. The battery determines how long your child can drive, how quickly the car responds, and how long the product lasts.
There are two main types of batteries for electric ride-on cars: lead-acid batteries and lithium-ion batteries. In this blog, we explain the difference and why at Vrooomy we choose lithium technology for most of our models.

Charging a lithium battery in an electric ride-on car is simple and safe, as long as you do it correctly. Always use the original charger that came with the vehicle and make sure the ride-on car is turned off before you start charging. First, connect the charger to the battery, and only then plug it into the power outlet.
A lithium battery generally charges faster and more efficiently than a traditional lead-acid battery. On average, a full charge takes between 6 and 10 hours, depending on the model. Once the battery is full, it’s wise to disconnect the charger to optimize battery life.
For the best performance, it’s recommended to charge the battery regularly and avoid letting it run completely flat. This way, the lithium battery stays in good condition, and your child can enjoy longer, stronger, and worry-free driving fun.
